As Procurement Synergy & Liaison Director, you will play a key role in strengthening and managing collaboration, transparency, and operational alignment between Aurobay Sweden and Aurobay China and Geely as well as Horse Powertrain Ltd.
Based at Aurobay Technologies Division in Sweden and reporting to the EVP Procurement Aurobay Sweden, you’ll lead cross-regional synergy initiatives, ensuring effective coordination of procurement, supplier quality, and engineering resources to drive cost reduction and business efficiency. Combining strategic leadership, commercial acumen, and a deep China network, you’ll enable best-in-class results through co-funded projects and transparent collaboration across Procurement, R&D, and executive management levels within Aurobay and Geely.
Skills and experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working with Geely Powertrain and the relevant Chinese supplier market, with deep knowledge of procurement, supplier development, and cost structures, especially in China.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive network across China’s powertrain supplier base and within Aurobay China and Geely operations.
- Proven commercial and strategic capability in driving cost efficiency, supplier performance, and long-term business growth.
- Strong understanding of product composition, technical complexity, and key cost drivers.
- Proven skill, and deep experience, in procurement management, contract negotiation, partner development, project management, and budget control.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with a proactive, result-driven mindset.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, confident operating and delivering in a global context. Extensive experience from collaboration and communication with all management levels.
Your role
- As Procurement Synergy & Liaison Director, you’ll strengthen collaboration and alignment between Aurobay Sweden, Aurobay China, and Geely operations to drive cost reduction, cost and collaboration efficiency, supplier development, and one-team performance.
- Lead cost-reduction and localization initiatives for China - or commonly sourced parts, ensuring delivery of technical and commercial solutions on time and within budget.
- Define and coordinate work packages across Sweden and China, fostering transparency, joint planning, and shared accountability.
- Build and leverage a strong network across Aurobay, Geely, Horse and supplier markets to enable synergy, knowledge sharing, and long-term partnerships.
- Drive project planning, progress reviews, and stakeholder engagement to meet agreed targets and deliverables.
- Lead and support supplier and KPI negotiations, ensure business objectives, budgets, and customer requirements are achieved.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance teams across regions to realize total cost reductions and sustainable growth.
